Hayley Slusser is The Lenfest Institute’s Communications Associate, where she helps develop the Institute’s editorial content and overall communications strategy. She began her time at the Institute as a Communications Intern in September 2021. 

Prior to joining the Institute, she served as the Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Targum, Rutgers University’s independent student newspaper. In this position, she led the paper’s digital-first transition and co-authored an award-winning investigative series on the University’s pandemic finances. 

She graduated from Rutgers University—New Brunswick in January 2022 with a B.A. in Journalism and Media Studies and a minor in History.
