Jeff Muckensturm is the Advancement Associate at The Lenfest Institute for Journalism. In this role Jeff leads community giving initiatives. 

Prior to joining the Institute, Jeff was at Next City, a nonprofit newsroom in Philadelphia that covers solutions for equitable cities, where he led all aspects of development including grassroots fundraising. He was also communications director at Healthcare Now, a community member at Leavenhouse (a Catholic Worker community in Camden, NJ), and a carpenter. 

Jeff graduated from Rutgers University—Camden, with an undergraduate degree in urban planning, and from the University of Massachusetts—Lowell, with a graduate degree in economic development.
