Joseph Lichterman is the Lenfest Institute’s Head of Communications and Editorial. In this role Joseph leads the Institute’s reporting, research, and communications strategy.

He also writes Solution Set, a weeklyish report on innovation in journalism. Prior to joining the Institute, he was a staff writer at the Nieman Journalism Lab at Harvard University. He also previously reported for Reuters in its Detroit bureau. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Joseph was editor in chief of The Michigan Daily, the university’s independent student newspaper.
