AMA: Practical year-end donor stewardship

Last year, the amount raised for charity grew even as the number of donors fell, according to the Fundraising Effectiveness Project. For newsrooms, year-end campaigns can bring a welcome rush of gifts and a long list of follow-ups. Once someone chooses to give, what should happen next? How do we thank new supporters, reconnect with longtime donors, and share the value of our journalism in ways that feel personal and manageable?

Join two members of The Lenfest Institute’s development team, Kirsten Halker-Kratz, Head of Development and Donor Relations, and Jane Hayden, Individual Giving Officer, for a practical AMA on donor stewardship. We’ll work through questions and real situations from participants and share manageable ideas for thanking donors and staying connected in January.
