Jeff Muckensturm

Advancement Associate

Jeff Muckensturm is the Advancement Associate at The Lenfest Institute for Journalism. In this role, Jeff leads community giving initiatives. 

Prior to joining the Institute, Jeff was development manager at Next City, a nonprofit newsroom in Philadelphia that covers solutions for equitable cities. He was also communications director at Healthcare Now, a community member at Leavenhouse (a Catholic Worker community in Camden, NJ), and a carpenter. 

Jeff graduated from Rutgers University—Camden, with an undergraduate degree in urban planning, and from the University of Massachusetts—Lowell, with a graduate degree in economic development.

He lives in South Philly with his family and enjoys backpacking, playing bass guitar, and rooting for the Sixers.
