Karen Cleary

Chief Financial Officer

Karen Cleary is the Lenfest Institute’s Chief Financial Officer.  As CFO, Karen oversees all finance operations, including accounting, budgeting and financial reporting.  She also works closely with the Lenfest Institute’s external auditors and is responsible for maintaining the organization’s internal control structure.

Karen brings significant non-profit financial experience to the Lenfest Institute.  Prior to joining the organization she spent 15 years at the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey in expanding roles, ultimately serving as Chief Administrative Officer.  Prior to United Way she worked in the insurance and public accounting sectors.

In her spare time Karen enjoys spending time with her family, reading, sports, exercise and working on crochet projects.
