Allie Vanyur

Director, National Programs

Allie Vanyur is The Lenfest Institute’s Director of National Programs. In this role, she works closely with the Head of National Programs and the Community Manager to develop and execute programs that support local publishers across the country.

Allie leads the Institute’s Communities of Practice, which provide peer-to-peer learning, trainings, and capacity-building support for news organizations and practitioners. She also manages national grant programs and collaborates cross-departmentally on Beyond Print and efforts to support news organizations throughout Pennsylvania. Allie also served as project manager for the initial pilot of the Every Voice, Every Vote civic engagement initiative.

Prior to joining the Institute, she was the Senior Programs Manager for the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, where she led the organization’s grantmaking initiatives and managed citywide Creative Youth Development programs. She also previously served in communications roles with The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage and BalletX.

A Drexel University graduate and former dancer, Allie’s passions include live music, fitness, and all things Philly sports. She is also a founding board member of The Movement Foundation.
