Local leaders discuss education issues at an Every Voice, Every Vote Community Conversation.

Every Voice, Every Vote is today launching the Solutions Progress Report, a new tool to keep Philadelphians up to date on the progress of various initiatives launched by city government.

The Solutions Progress Report will focus on four key issues Mayor Cherelle Parker campaigned on: Public Safety, Clean & Green, Education, and Economic Opportunity. Designed to make local government more transparent and accessible, the Progress Report gives Philadelphians a clear view of how promises translate into action — and how those actions impact neighborhoods across the city.

Lead support for Every Voice, Every Vote in 2024 and 2025 is provided by the William Penn Foundation with additional funding from The Lenfest Institute for Journalism, Comcast, The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Henry L. Kimelman Family Foundation, Judy and Peter Leone, Arctos Foundation, Wyncote Foundation, 25th Century Foundation, Dolfinger-McMahon Foundation, and Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation.

Updates within the Solutions Progress Report will draw from news coverage produced by dozens of Every Voice, Every Vote media partners, as well as official mayoral announcements and original reporting from Every Voice, Every Vote.

Every Voice, Every Vote’s mission is to help Philadelphians become more civically informed and engaged. The Solutions Progress Report serves as an unbiased, one-stop shop for details on the progress of some of the mayor’s top initiatives.

The Every Voice, Every Vote coalition was launched by The Lenfest Institute for Journalism ahead of the 2023 Philadelphia mayoral election, and in 2024, more than 70 Philadelphia media organizations and community groups joined the coalition to continue the work of advancing civic information and engagement beyond the election.

The coalition has launched journalism and civic engagement projects that connect residents to local government and track the progress of the city’s new administration. The addition of the Solutions Progress Report will help ensure Philadelphians are not only aware of the top issues, but also help them understand how the decisions made in city hall are addressing them.
