Date: Thursday, February 12

Time: 2 p.m. ET/ 1 p.m. CT / Noon MT / 11 a.m. PT

After year-end giving wraps up, many of us are left asking the same question: now what? A question from a member of the Lenfest Institute Community Slack inspired this session. So, let’s unpack it together!

In this session, we’ll dig into practical, human-centered ways to steward first-time and one-time donors, and set the stage for deeper engagement over time. We’ll cover what’s worked across different organizations, from personal touches like board thank-you calls to creative follow-ups that don’t require a huge lift.

This will be a conversational, idea-sharing space where we can swap tactics, scripts, and experiments, especially those realistic for small teams. Come ready to share what you’ve tried, what you’re curious about, and where you’re getting stuck.

Presenter: Kirsten Halker-Kratz, Head of Development and Donor Relations, The Lenfest Institute for Journalism
